Hi Kevin
That’s great to hear. I was concerned a bit. Of course, if you’re in sales you need to take public credit for the sales you perform in the material world otherwise you wouldn’t get a commission and the boss wouldn’t give you a raise for your achievements. So, what I understand you mean is that you don’t take private credit for it, you credit your good skills and sales successes to the higher power that is watching over you. So, anything I achieve or anything created by me I should, while putting my name to it, not take complete credit but always defer most of it to a higher power. By showing appreciation for this higher power I’d be removing myself from my ego.

So I can still do all the things that I might do now which I currently credit my ego for, but instead credit a higher power, and thereby reach a higher state of consciousness?

I can also see how that would help reinforce an attitude of gratitude. If you’re always grateful for absolutely everything that happens, including things that you worked hard to create yourself (with help from above) then abundance will continue to increase.
Detachment from the material world is my long term goal. It’s going to be awhile for me as I’m a bit of a hoarder. Don’t know how I’ll be able to throw away all the stuff I’ve kept since I was 2!
Peace and Light – Manus

Being without ego doesn’t mean becoming a push over. I’m employed as a sales consultant so negotiating with people everyday.
Being without ego (and we are talking about what Hare Krishna’s call the false ego) is part of not being attached to the material world, not taking credit for material achievements, understanding that there is a higher power involved. Now spiritual achievements is another matter, for this you will get benefits, however, these are far and beyond the Human Ego.
One can only achievement detachment from this material world by firstly living without ego.

Peace Kevin.
