In this blog I like to look at things that others don’t know much about and even some many probably don’t know exist.
One of those is Geomancy. Having recently read an article that briefly mentioned that a person they interviewed for a comment was a Geomancer, I thought I’d better look into it for you.
Like a Chiromencer reads palms or a Tasseographer reads tea leaves, a Geomancer is someone who divines or reads using the Earth. Geomancy requires the interpretation of 16 random shapes or numbers created by the patterns made from tossing handfuls of rocks, soil or sand. Through these the Geomancer can predict future events.
From a metaphysical or quantum physics perspective, if you believe that everything in the world has consciousness and you believe that you need to use something random and unaffected by your own consciousness to find the message, then the world will give you that message. For someone who believes, geomancy will work for them as the act of accessing information using that system will attract the answer.
